I was a paranoid freak in the stations. I think that's why I neglected to take pictures.
Years ago, when I was in the Army, I was planning a trip to New York. My roommate was from Brooklyn and started warning me of all the things not to do, one of which was related to the subway platforms and standing so someone can push you onto the rails. She scared me enough that I decided not to go to NYC at that time.
So when I finally went. I stood with my back against a post and constantly scanning the crowd. I'm a nut.
It's nice wise to stand near the platform's edge, so that's not being paranoid. Not just for people pushing folks, but because more commonly, people get dizzy and fall over the edge.
It used to be illegal to take photos in the subway (who knows why) and even now, when it's supposed to be allowed, I think, I'm still paranoid a cop will come over and confiscate my camera.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

But, thank you!

And, you're welcome. I'll try for more.
