This set of books dates to the 1920s or 1930s and were giveaways at a movie theater in Brooklyn, NY. I got this set from my father who was a boy when his parents got them.
I love old books. I picked up one that is someone's biography from the turn of the century. I had high hopes of adding it to Gutenberg but haven't pursued it. I also have a Heidi book from the 40's. I don't know where I got it but it has an address in it from the late 70's when we first moved by to PA from FL. I also have a Heidi book from the early to mid 70s that Folger's coffee was giving away. I am amazed I've managed to hold onto the Heidi books all these years. Other than a few photos and a wooden doll I don't have much from my childhood.

ReplyDeleteI have other old books, too. I love them. But this set is the most photogenic of what I have.
