Thursday Challenge Paper

2 World Series Tickets

Because they need to be printed and mailed ahead of time, tickets for teams that will be going to the playoffs or expect to make the playoffs are often never used. The Mets, in the running for a Wild Card spot did that. They played the Wild Card game at Citi Field, but alas, they lost, so the tickets we have for the division and league championship series and these for the World Series will never be used. Hopefully, next year, they'll be back in the World Series. But for this year, I hope the Cubs win it.

It was so nice to see the stands filled -- an abundance of fans! -- for the All-Star Game at NY's Citi Field.

Yankees ace reliever Mariano Rivera acknowledges the ovation from the fans at the All-Star Game, held at Citi Field, home of the Mets. Rivera, the only active player still wearing 42, is retiring at the end of the season. The number 42, worn by Jackie Robinson, is retired around major league baseball. After this season, no one in American professional baseball will wear 42.
